Constant worry about things being done and to be done lead to tension and a man falls prey to his imagination. Overstraining leads to mistakes which erodes his self-confidence and after that the only way is the way downhill.
Treatment:
Since a healthy mind can reside only in a healthy body, see that the body regains its health. The paint must live a normal, natural life. He should try to get sleep. During the day also he should be advised to relax in a bed for some hours. The loosening of tensions by relaxation will help his organs to do their work properly and he would be able to get rid of the poisons.
The next imperative for such a patient is exercise. He should take walks and if possible take a jogging. His foods should include bread made from wheat from which bran has not been sieved out, fruits and boiled vegetables. Since nervous debility shows a marked lack of vitamin B, the deficiency should be made up by inclusion in his diet of foods, which contain it in larger measure. Unpolished rice, milk, cucumber, mangoes, pears, pineapples, guava, tomatoes, raisins and leafy vegetables should be his mainstay. He should be asked to eat his food in a relaxed manner, chewing it properly before ingestion.
Massages can help in reactivating the nervous system. Hydropathic treatment is also recommended and that merely consists in bathing his spine with a garden or bathroom shower for a couple of minutes. The water should be cold. During summer cold showering of the spine could be done three times or more and in winter twice would do.

Exercises:
Some exercises are helpful in dealing with nervous debility.
Sit on your feet with your stomach touching your knees. Try to keep your spine straight and extend both your arms. Now thrust your right foot forward and stand up with a jerk. Resume your earlier position and repeat the exercise with your left foot.
Stand with your right leg about a foot from your left. Join your hands and extend the arms downward, upward and then backward. More the arms with the hands joined in a circular motion and inhale and exhale deeply during the movement.
Lie on your back on the floor with your elbows touching your sides. Then try to raise the body with your elbows and heels and then resume the former position.
Stand like a boxer and make positions like you are hitting somebody with your fists. Or, to put it differently, indulge in shadow boxing for some time, moving your feet as a boxer does.
Stand in the normal position and then sit down with a jerk on your toes, with your palms touching the ground. Suddenly jerk your legs back just as you were about to do push-up. The exercise is akin to doing sit-ups and push-ups simultaneously.
If this regimen is followed for some weeks, you can get rid of any nervous disorder. It is also beneficial for sciatica, hydrosel and dropsy.

Stop Your Headaches Before They Begin With Chiropractic Treatments

Every week, I have more and more patients coming in who tell me they feel stressed out and overwhelmed. That, coupled with an increasingly sedentary lifestyle, means most of these patients also complain of headaches, which is not surprising. The latest studies show that 90% of headaches are considered "tension headaches" - and more than 95 percent of those are so-called "primary" headaches, such as migraine clusters. While some headaches are caused by food or environmental allergies, most are triggered simply by the way people sit at their desks or in their cars day in and day out.
What do you do when you experience a headache? If you're like most people, you turn to your medicine cabinet to relieve the pain. But that's only a temporary fix. In fact, some medical experts believe that using painkillers more than a few times per week can actually perpetuate headaches, making them return as soon as the medication wears off. As a board-certified chiropractor, most patients that I see are experiencing headaches from muscle tension and subluxation (misalignment) of the cervical spine and upper back. Kava root is Perfect Stress Eliminator

Kava root is from the Pacific Islands and has been used for hundreds of years. However, the plant has been under heavy scrutiny in recent years.

In 2002 the FDA issued a warning about the possibility of a link between the root and liver toxicity.4 But in 2007 the World Health Organization (WHO) cleared up confusion. It found that liver toxicity was limited to kava supplements that used the whole plant.

Australian researcher Jerome Sarris said Pacific Islanders only used water-soluble extracts and the peeled root of the plant.

“Kava has been used in the Pacific Islands where it is grown for centuries without evidence of liver problems,” said Sarris.

Sarris studied the root on 37 people with GAD and depression. Half the group took kava. The other half took a placebo. After three weeks subjects reported less anxiety when taking kava.Depression levels also dropped. And no serious side effects were noted.

“What we can say is the evidence supports the use of this [formulation] for short periods for acute anxiety and stress,” Sarris says.

In 2001 researchers from Duke University held two clinical studies to test the effectiveness of the root and safety. It helped reduce anxiety and caused no liver problems.

1. Picture a calming thought

Sometimes you just don't have any time for yourself as you see the day whizzing past you in a medley of office work and household chores. Picturing a calming thought in your mind is a wonderful relaxation technique for stressful times. Visualize a calming thought, like a recent vacation you went to, your son's smiling face, or the sun going down. When you visualize a calming thought in the midst of a million worries, you automatically stop the stress from developing.

2. Focus on something

A lot of people use the mindfulness technique to relax. This is basically a way of focusing the mind on one thing at a time. For instance, if you are in the garden, focus on the color of the grass or the smell of the air around you and nothing else. If you are at a shopping mall, focus on a particular dress at a window and block your mind of everything else. The idea is to stop multi-tasking for some time.

3. Breathing Exercises

The truth is that most of us don't breathe properly and that is the reason why we feel so stressed out and full of worry. Being conscious of your breathing is what is important. When you breathe, you should focus on the air going out and coming into your lungs. When you do this, at least for 5 minutes a day, you will automatically feel fresh and re-energized. When you are breathing deeply, make sure that your mind completely focuses on the breathing and nothing else.

4. Meditation

Meditation means different things to different people. If the idea of meditating with your legs crossed while you sit on a rug on the floor does not really appeal to you, you can use a different tactic. Whenever you feel yourself getting worried about something, change your attitude. There is always a positive way to look at things. No matter what life has dealt you, you have to find out the positive side of it all. When you change your attitude, you get rid of the worry. Practice positive thinking everyday.

9. Time-out yourself

You may have given your children time-outs a number of times, but have you ever thought that you may need one yourself sometimes? Yes, that's right. When you feel that your worries and all the stress are getting too much for you to handle, take a time-out and go sit somewhere alone or lie down on the bed. Don't talk to anyone. Do not use any diversions like the television during this time. This will give you time to re-engage your thoughts and come out a better person.

10. Love

Love is a good thing. Showing love is better. This is a relaxation technique that has immediate benefits but very few people give it a try. Yes, that's right! Showing your affection and love to your kids, spouse, parents or a pet can be a wonderful way of relieving tension and worry. Spontaneous hugs, kisses and cuddle always help. More so if you are full of stress.
