Then again, if you feel like just "go with the flow" for the entire time, you can do that too.
* Lip Beauty Tips #1:
Light-colored lip color - You have to get the sticky shiner that comes with the lip stain. After a few months you will see that it is worth it. Try not to use the sticky stuff. Instead, use the light-colored color on your lips. The stain should be a very close match to your own lip color, but could either be a tad brighter or darker.
Once the color has become hard, you could just conceal with chap-stick or your preferred lip gloss. When the the surface layer gets worn off, ones lips still seem to be a lot plumper and plumper.
*Tips On Lip Beauty #2:
You are able to mix and match - You can always mix lip stick and lip glosses and it looks great. Put the lipstick on your bottom lip and the on your upper lip. After rubbing them together you ought to blot. This results in a blended, glossy version of ones lipstick that will last a great deal longer than using the lip gloss by itself.
* Beauty Tips on Lips #3:
Hydrate and rehydrate - To maintain sexy plumper lips and luscious by keeping yourself hydrated. When a person is dehydrated their lips will be the first to show it. This will make you lick them way more than normal and of course this causes the lipstick to rub right off. So drink at a minimum of the recommended daily dose of water and you could find yourself with plumper and more luscious lips and are full and alive.

Natural Remedies to Treat Dry Lips

Do Not Lick Your Lips
The instinct to lick your lips makes the chapping worse, says dermatologist Jennifer Linder, MD, of Scottsdale, Ariz.

"As saliva evaporates, it dehydrates skin further," Linder says. Saliva also contains acids that help break down food. Those acids can irritate compromised lip skin.

Another common mistake is scrubbing, peeling, or biting off skin flakes. "Picking at the already thin skin of the lips can lead to bleeding and severe discomfort," Linder says. "This slows the healing process and irritates the skin further."
That could lead to an infection or a cold sore.

Aloe Vera
Those having the problem of chapped lips must put a little amount of Aloe vera gel on their lips daily. The herbal benefits of Aloe Vera will also give relief from the pain.

Rose Petals
Take a handful of rose petals and wash them properly in water. Next soak the petals in raw milk for a few hours. Finally mash the rose petals in order to make a thick paste which you must apply on the dry lips two to three times a day and especially every night before going to bed. This remedy will help in maintaining the moisture of your lips as well as in retaining the color of your lips. Instead of raw milk you can also use glycerin.

Honey
Honey is a great moisturizer and due to its amazing healing and anti-bacterial properties it can be used to treat chapped lips. Take some pure honey and apply them on your chapped lips. When this remedy is repeated several times a day it will fasten up the healing process as well help in retaining the moisture of your lips. Else you can make a paste of honey and glycerin and apply them on the lips before going to bed to enjoy softer lips in the morning.

Erupts on the Lip

As much as we look forward to the summer for relaxing days full of swimming, walks and trips to the park, some people find their skin problems increase this time of year. A few issues during the warm seasons include fever blisters, the prickly heat rash and cases of hives.

Sun exposure:
For some people exposure to the sun on the face can result in a cold sore that erupts on the lip area. This can be quite painful and may take from six to eleven days to heal and resolve. Someone with a history of cold sores, recognizes the initial tingle and is aware of the way that this will play out. It is essential to apply a good sun protective factor on the face and lip and try to make it spf 30 or higher. Once you get one on your lip, it can easily return due to sun exposure, so be sure to always cover your lips when you are out even for a walk. Lysine is a good supplement to help prevent eruptions but it is not foolproof. If your immune system is weakened, you may get one. It is a virus that is in your body forever, so take care of yourself.

Prinky heat:
Prickly heat can lead to red eruptions due to the sweating and perspiration of the body. Moisture gets trapped and can lead to a rash that is annoying and itchy. Many people with a weight issue suffer from this and it can seem like a catch-22 due to the need for exercise. Try to exercise early in the mornings or in an air conditioned gym to reduce this problem. After exercising, be sure to take a shower and dry off. Corn starch is helpful for sweat rashes. Avoid nylon clothing and wear cotton.

Hives:
Hives can be due to stress, heat or allergic reactions. In the summer, we often try different foods on vacation and this can lead to allergic reactions. Although the summer seems to offer us less stressful conditions due to not worrying about driving in snow or days of shivering, one can get very stressed out about one's appearance, staying fit and compare oneself to others. Take time to meditate and keep your mind calm.

The summer is a time to relax and by keeping your eye on the causes of various skin problems you can help to control the eruptions

Get Full Lips Naturally

If you are looking at this article you are most likely one of the many women out there who want to get full lips naturally. In the media women with full lips are all the craze, especially thanks to the Hollywood star Angelina Jolie who is widely known for her full pouty lips.
It can be rather difficult on a woman who has very small lips to feel good about herself especially if the men around her simply will not give her a second glance as another girl with a fuller mouth walks by. This article will help you learn how you too can be big, pouty and beautiful.
Why don't all women have full lips?
Most women do not actually have full pouty lips although there are the lucky few who had just the right genes in their parents to have had this look naturally all along. Before we get into how to get full lips naturally and give yourself that pouty look we would like to emphasize that thin lips could in fact be caused by dehydration. When the lips become dehydrated they are proven to become thinner and blend more into the face. You should make sure you are drinking the recommended amount of fluid and see if that makes your mouth more full and pouty before jumping into the next steps.
Will lip plumpers work?
Lip plumpers work by slightly irritating the skin cells on your lips making your lips swell and look fuller. These plumping glosses are very popular right now as they are a quick and inexpensive way to get full lips naturally.
What about lip pumps?
Lip gloss and an enlargement pump. Even though the word enlargement pump may sound a bit scary it isn't. All this is, is an adjustable suction pump which causes the blood to flow into the lips causing the lips to become more full and plump looking. After long term use some women have said their lips had stayed fuller then they had been before they started using the enlargement pump. Applying gloss on the lips after pumping will help give your new plump lips a more juicy attractive appearance to really grab some head turning attention.
Is there any danger in using an enlargement pump?
When using an enlargement pump you want to start out slow and pump more lightly if you feel any discomfort in your lips, this is because the enlargement pump can draw too much blood to fast into the lips and cause bruising if you over pump. Bruising can be a really bad mess especially if you are about to go out to a really important event therefore caution should be taken. Even with the risk involved though to getting fuller lips, even just for an occasion, the results and memories could be well worth the minor risk involved.
Can my lips get full in any other way?
The only other time you may notice you get full lips naturally is during your menstrual cycle. This is because the change in hormones in the body can cause the lips to appear bigger than normal.

Anti Aging Tips For The Lips

When it comes to our faces, we try and invest on all sorts of anti aging creams, eye creams, serums, pills and treatments just because we want to look young as long as we can. But it's very rare to hear and read anything about age proofing the lips. Sadly, the lips are the most neglected part of most anti aging regimens. They do need a lot of care, but they are often overlooked and even totally neglected. Unknown to many, the lips can be a dead giveaway of how old or young a person is so it deserves the same amount of attention as the other parts of the face. With this, let me share to you some anti aging tips for the lips. Here are some of them.
 Avoid constantly licking your lips:

Contrary to popular belief, licking your lips has no moisturising or hydrating effect at all. As a matter of fact, licking your lips can actually dry them out. Saliva contains digestive enzymes that evaporates quickly as you lick, leaving your lips drier than before you licked them. Dry, cracked and chapped lips can make your face look ugly so enough with the licking.
 Avoid unprotected sun exposure:

Just like our facial skin, our lips can also get damaged when exposed to the sun. The sun's UV rays can darken, wrinkle and dry out the lips, making you look old and lifeless. To prevent this, try to avoid the sun between 11 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon because that is when the sun is at its strongest. If you really need to go outside, make sure to use a lip balm with SPF and reapply it after a couple of hours to protect your lips from damage.
Wear lip balm with sun protection factor (SPF):

Sunscreen is an essential product of every skin care regimen, but let us not forget our lips. Our lips also gets damaged by the sun's harmful UV rays if left unprotected. This is why it is important to wear a lip balm with SPF every single day. Apart from protecting the lips from sound damage, it also prevents discoloration, wrinkling, dryness and chapping.
Exfoliate lips regularly:\

It's a good practice to exfoliate your lips at least once a week. Exfoliation can help get rid of the dry and dead skin on the lip's surface. It can also help lighten lips that are discolored due to sun damage. To exfoliate your lips, you can use a mixture of sugar and olive oil or if you want something fancy, you can buy those flavoured lip scrubs in the market. Make sure to moisturize your lips after exfoliating them.
Avoid smoking:

Smoking is one of the primary causes of both the wrinkles in the skin around the lips and the lips itself. It also dries out the lips which can make it look unhealthy and old, so better ditch that stick before it's too late.

Relief From Dry & Chapped Lips

Young or old, male or female, we are all susceptible. Dry lips can be symptomatic of an underlying medical condition however for the vast majority of people, the cause is mainly environmental such as exposure to wind and cold air and of course, the sun. The good news is that this condition can be easily alleviated. Here's how:

Begin by exfoliating the lips. Use a damp terry cloth washcloth to gently remove the skin and your lips will look better immediately. But don't stop there. Apply a lip serum made with natural Squalane. This is a pretty important step because unlike the skin on the rest of the body, there are no oil producing glands in the lips. Squalane is identical to the oil that our glands produce naturally.

Why does Squalane work so well on lips?

Squalane mimics the protective oil that is secreted by the skin. Since lips do not have these oil glands, they need external protection. Harsh soaps and cleansers can further aggravate your lips and dry them out, especially during winter. When your lips feel dry, the first instinct is usually to lick them. This is the beginning of a vicious cycle. The saliva provides instant moisture, but it doesn't last long: the enzymes in our saliva cause further dryness, making you want to lick your lips again.

In the daytime, use the Squalane serum under your lip gloss or lipstick and then in the evenings, apply a light coating of whipped Shea Butter. If you're really fond of "chap stick" type lip balms, you could use it instead of shea butter. However, lip balm alone will only provide temporary relief from dryness. The Squalane provides real moisture and lubrication for the lips and will get rid of chronic dryness over time.

How does Shea Butter help?

Shea Butter increases the skin's natural ability to hold onto moisture. It promotes skin renewal, increases the circulation, and accelerates healing. It also provides relief and helps soothe dry, chapped lips. It contains a wealth of essential fatty acids, so it is perfect for sufferers and those with severely dry, cracked skin

Petroleum jelly and waxy lip treatments don't work.

They may provide immediate soothing, but once they wear off, your lips will once again feel painfully dry and chapped. If you want more than just temporary relief, here is a solution that actually works to keep your lips soft and healthy.

Repeat this regimen for 5 days /evenings and your lips will be back to normal. But don't get lazy and just stopped exfoliating or your lips will once again get dry and chapped.

Cracked Lip Prevention and Treatment Methods

With winter taking its usual sweet time to fizzle out, a common complaint from most of my clients is cracked lips, more specifically, how to prevent them. If you suffer from cracked or chapped lips, you know that it's not only an aesthetic issue; but often quite uncomfortable too. To help you combat this common ailment, I've compiled a list of simple tips you can follow:

Cracked Lips Tip
Increase your intake of vitamin A rich foods such as green leafy vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and all yellow and orange fruits and vegetables. Alternatively purchase a Vitamin A supplement.

Drink a minimum of 2 liters of water a day to keep your lips moist and hydrated - remember coffee doesn't count towards this quota, plus it is actually a diuretic, which will further dehydrate you.

Try to avoid licking your lips - the enzymes in saliva can cause your lips to crack even more.

Mix 1 Tea Spoon of olive oil, 1 Tea Spoon sugar and 1 Tea Spoon petroleum jelly, in a bowl or container. Apply this mixture to the lips, leave to settle for about five minutes and then gently scrub. This will help to remove the flaky bits and dead skin from your lips. Once you have done this deep moisturize the area.

Apply your lip balm last thing at night, to ensure moisture is maintained throughout your sleep.

[Professionals Way] Applying Lip Stick

Find the best shades of lipstick for your lips. For full lips, it is best to stick with medium tone colors and subtle shades. Stay away from pale shimmering colors, plums and dark brown shades.

Clean off the dry, dead skin from your lips using a dry, soft bristled toothbrush or a wet, warm washcloth.

Apply liquid foundation to your lips and let it dry. You can also brush some face powder onto your lips if you wish.

A dusting of powder or bit of foundation beneath lipstick can maximize its staying power. Either can dry lips, though, so use a creamy formula lipstick.

Stretch your lips and starting at the center of top or bottom, glide color to corners. Blot, reapply and blot again for longer-lasting color.

Lipstick staining your teeth makes you look extremely shabby. To avoid this, pucker your lips in an extreme ''O'' and then apply the lipstick.

Even if your lipstick smudges to the insides of your lips, wrap your finger with a tissue and put it into your mouth, and twist it slowly to eliminate any extra color.

You can also highlight your lips by using a light film of eye shadow color coordinated with your lip color in the center of the upper and lower lips.

First prime your lips with a good base of foundation and powder to remove all color from your lips.

Outline your lips with a lip pencil - The same shade or just a shade darker than your lipstick, Define the center curve on the upper lip with two precise strokes.

Continue the line of the upper lip, keeping your mouth closed and relaxed. Use short strokes, as they are easier than a continuous line.

On the lower lip, work form the center to the corners.

To make a small mouth look larger, apply a touch of foundation to your lips to smooth out the edges, add a little powder to make your lipstick last longer, then trace the outline of your lips with lip liner, enlarging the corners and thickness of your lips.

To make a large mouth look smaller, tone down the edges of the lips using foundation or concealer, retrace the inside edges of your lips, reducing the gap at the corners, then apply a soft shade of lipstick for a natural effect.

Lipstick will stay on longer if the whole lip is filled in with lip liner before lipstick is applied. If you decide to use this technique, be aware that darker lip liner will darken the look of your lipstick. And, if you are going for a light look use a light lip liner.

Now that lips are filled in, apply lipstick with a lipstick brush (using a lip brush will give you more control). When lipstick has been applied, with lips closed, lay a tissue across both lips to blot.
