For decades, people have been using honey to treat skin problems such as pimples, scars, marks, spots and other skin conditions. The honey mask for pimples does not have a single formula. • 4 to 5 tablespoons of honey (if possible organic)
  • 1 medium-sized apple (if possible organic)

Scoop out the seeds of the apple and run the rest in a blender to make a fine pulp. Now add 3-4 apples depending on how many persons it will serve and the size of the apple. The amount of honey must be enough to mix well with the pulp. Mix up well into a uniform paste. Apply a layer of this apple honey mask on your whole face. Leave for ten to fifteen minutes and allow the mask dry up a little. When done, wash off the mask with lukewarm water.

Just blend well all the ingredients in a basin to get an even paste. Apply one layer of this mixture on your whole face and down on your throat. Leave it to face for a few minutes till it dries up. Then apply one more layer and continue applying until you have used the whole paste you prepared. When you are done applying, leave it again for around ten minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.
Lemon and Mayonnaise Honey Mask Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 egg whites
Combine 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with 1 teaspoon of honey. Add 2 egg whites. After mixing these items together, apply the mixture all over the face. Let it stand for 20 minutes to let the natural ingredients to react as well as work so they can do the cleansing and softening of your skin. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel to dry. Preparing these natural facial masks seems a daunting task. But it is worth the effort if it gives better result than your expensive chemical based beauty products like honey masks.

Best Honey + Lemon Face Hair Removal - DIY

Excessive facial hair growth especially to women is both frustrating and depressing. It does not only grab confidence from most women but it is also a lot of money that is being spent for the treatments to remove excess hair permanently. However, there are always alternatives other than the expensive electrolysis, laser hair removal, and irritation depilatory creams.
Natural female facial hair removal methods are now spreading and have even been praised for its non-irritating and inexpensive form of hair removal remedy. Two of the easiest and most natural ways are waxing and plucking.

Another one is termed as facial sugaring which can be made by heating sugar and lemon juice together then with the aid of cornstarch, applied to the hair then immediately pulled away against the direction of the hair growth. Painful as it is, it can also give soft, moisturized and smooth skin.
You can also buy a ready made natural sugar mixture like MOOM Organic Hair Removal Kit which is available in any supermarket. Bleaching creams are also an option. However, make sure you try a 24 hour patch test first to check for any skin irritation before buying a product.
Lemon is one natural bleacher. Using lemon with honey everyday can result in visible changes in your hair. When bleached, facial hair becomes lightened in color and breaks off in the long run. One reason of excessive facial growth is due to high levels of testosterone. Lowering down testosterone using the all natural spearmint tea can also significantly lessen the growth of the hair.
On one hand, make sure to try and test out products first before applying it on your face to avoid skin burns and irritation.

Face Masks for Different Skin Types

Some of the best DIY face masks ever created are easy, cheap and conveniently homemade. You'll be tempted to taste these nutritious and delicious recipes that are intended to treat your face.
Here are a few basic recipes for homemade face masks based on your particular skin, no matter if you have oily, dry, sensitive or combination skin.
1. Oily Skin Face Mask
If your skin is somewhat oily or greasy, try a yogurt or plum facial mask.
Plain or organic yogurt is a superior hydrating agent for the skin since it's loaded with lactic acid, which helps to effectively shed dead skin cells and revitalize new skin cell growth.
Plums have anti-oxidant vitamins A and C that protect your skin against free radicals and also increase skin's pliability, suppleness and overall appearance. Both of these particular vitamins are typically used in oil-control and anti-acne products for skin care.

Recipe: Poach and thoroughly strain four ripe plums, and let them cool. Mash them together and combine a few tablespoons of plain or organic yogurt, a small spoonful of sweet almond oil, and add just enough cornflour to make a workable consistency so you can easily apply it to your face. The sweet almond oil is rich with anti-microbial properties that stop bacteria from spreading which is the main culprit in acne.
Caution: This recipe is very sticky and messy!
2. Dry Skin Face Mask
Avocados are one of the healthiest foods on our planet. This makes sense since they contain the two essential fatty acids omega-6 and omega-9 (which contribute to skin's suppleness and help the regeneration of skin and tissue), vitamin E moisturizing properties, and chlorophyll (the essential matter in plant life, which helps to regenerate our skin cells). Avocados are perfect for dry skin since they absorb easily into the skin.
Recipe: Completely smash up a ripe avocado. Add in a small spoonful of super-hydrating liquid honey and blend them together well before applying to your face.
3. Sensitive Skin Face Mask

Butter is an outstanding source of vitamin A. And, since vitamin A helps to revive skin's texture and accelerate blood flow to collagen fibers found deep within the skin, it's excellent for eliminating wrinkles and fine lines.

Recipe: Cut off a tablespoon from a stick of unsalted butter and let it acclimate to room temperature. Once the butter is soft, add in a small amount of rolled porridge oats and a tablespoon of creamy plain yogurt. Mix the ingredients well until they are just smooth enough to apply to your face easily. The combination has a cool and calming effect.
4. Combination Skin Face Mask
Bananas are a good source of nutrients that help skin stay supple and enormously soft when they are used topically. Simultaneously, they are wonderful for combination skin types since they are non-oily.

8 Perfect Home Remedies for Younger Looking Skin

In an age where synthetic treatments tend to be expensive and have long-term hazards on the skin, au naturelle is the way to go. Here we will explore proven ways on how you can have that coveted younger skin naturally.

Hydrate
Water is a vital source of moisture. Not only does it help improve circulation from the vital organs to the rest of the body, it also encourages cell renewal. When a person perspires or suffers from dehydration, he loses vital moisture, which causes skin drying. Be sure to replace lost moisture by drinking 8 glasses of water or two liters in a day.
Workout
Exercising leads to perspiration, which helps promote proper blood circulation and lets nutrients reach the skin's surface. It also helps release toxins in the body that cause premature aging. The result: fresh, youthful-looking skin and a healthier you.
Take Vitamins and Organic Supplements
This is especially true for individuals who are not to keen on eating vegetables and fruits, or those who are big on red meat. Taking daily all-natural supplements ensures that you're not lacking in the essential nutrients needed by the body. Supplements like XtendLife's Total Balance Unisex Plus contains micro-nutrients like vitamins, antioxidants and enzymes that are crucial in preventing premature aging and achieving younger skin naturally and safely.
Consume Healthful Foods
Numerous studies have revealed that less fat and red meat and more fish, vegetables and fruits results to fewer wrinkles. Also, betacarotene-rich foods like carrots and tomatoes provide Vitamin A which renews collagen, a natural skin protein responsible for the skin's firmness.
Citrus fruits and berries contain plenty of Vitamin C that promote collagen regeneration. Citrus fruits also contain bioflavonoids, which keep capillaries strong, thus preventing broken veins from appearing on the skin.
Fatty acids that replace lost collagen, provide moisture and prevent skin breakouts can be found abundantly in nuts.
Avoid Sun Exposure
You have probably heard that early morning sun basking is essential for Vitamin D conversion. However, exposure to the UV rays of the sun after 9am, destroys the skin's natural collagen, thus resulting to skin damage, wrinkles and premature aging. If you're aiming for younger skin naturally, get a tan elsewhere.
Say No to Smoking
Cigarettes have no known benefits to the body, be it the heart or the skin. They contain harmful carbon monoxide which impedes blood circulation to capillaries that supply nutrients to the skin. Further, it prevents the absorption of Vitamin C, a collagen proponent.
Sleep Sufficiently and Properly Positioned
Sleep is essential for achieving younger skin naturally, since growth hormone - which enables the cells to repair and regenerate - only functions when the body is at rest. An optimum 7 to 8 hour-sleep is recommended because every 2 to 3 hours starting at 8pm, the body performs special repair functions: hydration, regeneration, and resting. Inadequate sleep causes the blood vessels to constrict, so nutrients hardly reach the skin, making it look lifeless.
Sleep positions also contribute to wrinkling. Sleeping face down puts pressure on the blood vessels on the face, thus preventing fluid from distributing equally over the face. The result: puffy eyes, dark circles and wrinkling in the long-term.
Massage Some Olive Oil Onto Your Face
Applying extra virgin olive oil after exposure to the sun shields the skin from oxidation, a process where skin cells thin out and die. Olive oil contains antioxidants which prevent this destructive process from occurring.

Natural Face Packs for Glowing Skin

These are simple mixtures you put together using natural ingredients and then apply to your face.
So what are the best ingredients for dull skin?
You're looking for natural exfoliators to slough off the dull skin on the surface and moisturizers to bring your skin alive.
Fortunately, nature is full of perfect solutions in the form of fruits which work to tone and cleanse our skin gently but powerfully.
They're also rich in enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Rich in antioxidants, fruits work to fight the free radicals in the environment and help our complexions.
Here are of the best to use on your face:
  • The banana helps to cleanse, moisturize and soften skin. It makes a fine face pack just on its own. Just mash it up and apply it to your face.
  • Papaya and pineapple are both powerful but gentle exfoliators and can be used individually or blended together.
  • Coconut is a sublime moisturizer. Adding in some coconut oil to your fruit pack works wonders with dry skin.
Fruits work wonderfully but for a real power experience, you need to add in some Thai herbs. Lemongrass, Kaffir lime, tamarind and others work synergistically with the fruits to deliver even more power effects on your skin.
You can choose a herb depending on your type of skin. Kaffir lime works well with oily skin, for example.
Another nice routine is to use herbal face packs as part of a regular de-stressing session. As the herbs gently work on your face, you can lie back and relax your mind and lower the stress that contributes to a dull face.
You can't halt the march of time but you can do your utmost to minimize its effects. Using a face pack for glowing skin is one of the best things you can do to banish dull skin and look your best.

Dry Skin on Face Treatment using Coconut Oil

Just try rubbing some on your face and you'll understand coconut oil skin benefits immediately.
Coconut Oil For Face Treatment
When you first apply coconut oil to your face, it will feel like a match made in heaven. And if you suffer from particularly dry, itchy or flaky skin, regular use of coconut oil will be a blessing.
Its deeply nourishing richness works itself down deep into your skin to bring moisture to dry tissues like rainfall to a desert.
And the aroma is divine, the true healing scent of the East.
As it's completely natural, you can use the oil on a daily basis. Massaging it into your face before bed time allows it to work on your skin all night long to
smooth wrinkles and shrink pores.
One nice technique is to rub it into your face, leave for a few minutes and then remove with cotton wool. Rub on some rose water or other astringent and when dry, massage in some more coconut oil and leave it on.
Coconut oil has been clinically proven to have antibacterial, anti fungal and emollient properties so you know it's doing you good.
When buying coconut oil, look for the unrefined or 'virgin' type. Virgin or extra virgin are derived from the first pressing of fresh coconut and have that divine fragrance. Compare it to the refined type and your nose will tell the difference immediately.
Try some virgin coconut oil on your face today and you may well find your facial skin glowing for the first time in a long time.

Tips For Proper Facial Cleansing

The other day, as I was hanging with two local fashion girls in the midst of a shoot for a good friend the subject, as it often does when I'm around, turned to skin care and makeup. The girls had some good questions for me about products, which made me realize that maybe I need to re-visit some basic truths about cleansing your face. I am a staunch believer that even with all the miracle creams, mircoderms, peels, dermaplaning etc. nothing beats proper cleansing. I find most often, that it is the step at which women (and men) go wrong: we tend to misdiagnose a pimple as acne, or dehydration as dry skin.

Here is an easy way to find out if you are using the right cleansing product for your skin.

Wash your face with your normal cleanser, then do nothing: no toner, no moisturizer, nothing. How does it feel? Does it feel tight or dry? If so you are using a cleanser that is too strong for your skin. After cleansing your skin should feel fresh and clean not stripped of oil.

Then, leave your face alone (no products) and make a mental note of how long it takes before your skin becomes shiny or oily. If it becomes shiny within 15-30 minutes, you likely have oily skin, if you find that it happens by noon then your skin falls into the normal range, if it never really becomes shiny or oily or not until late in the day then your skin is likely dry.

Equally as important is the moisture content of your skin, are you dehydrated? One way to check is to pull skin taught at the jaw line then with your other hand push up the skin to compress the pores together. If you are dehydrated your skin will have a somewhat rhinoceros or reptilian like texture. FYI it doesn't matter what skin type you have, you can be dehydrated!

If you find that you are over cleansing, dehydrated, or breaking out from over cleansing here are a few great basic cleansers to try.

Cetaphil is a good all purpose cleanser but it works best with an old school method that I learned years ago. Massage the cleanser on dry skin, take a soft muslin cloth dampened in warm water, lay it over the face, press in slightly then remove wiping off the cleanser, follow that by rinsing 10-15 times with warm (not hot) water. This will help clear your pores and keep skin fresh.

Another more natural version is Burts Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing cream. Use as instructed with Cetaphil and your skin will be super clean but not super dry.

Of course if you have skin conditions and questions that cannot be addresses by simply cleansing always check with your doctor or dermatologist.

How To Whiten Your Skin At Home

Skin whitening is a fairly easy treatment to do by yourself at home, so long as you can find the right product and get the right advice on how to use it.

The most important thing you need to know to start with is which brands you should avoid, or the skin bleaching creams you should avoid because they contain poisonous active ingredients.

I'm talking about hydroquinone and mercury, among other things. For example, there are less reputable companies out there who encourage you to swallow toxins, as a way to bleach your skin!

Not every product you find online will be trustworthy, and even a doctor may recommend a cream containing a substance like hydoquinone, which has been proven to be not fit for use on humans in multiple long term studies.

The chemicals which have the best combination of being both effective, and being safe, without dangerous side effects are arbutin, glycolic acid, lactic acid, kojic acid, ascorbic acid, (vitamin C), and one called sepiwhite FSH.

It is possible to get some results from something as simple as lemon juice, and it's best to start with the mildest and most natural chemicals first, although you may not get the results you're looking for from lemon juice alone.

It's not just a matter of getting the chemicals right, you need the right expert advice on the directions for use, or you may end up not getting the results you were looking for.

Every individual requires different instructions on how to use a skin whitening cream, because a white person with freckles is not the same as a black person with hypo-pigmentation.

A Chinese woman with yellow skin bleaching for cosmetic reasons is different than an Italian woman with a black birthmark on her chin. How can you be sure that the brand of skin cream you are buying has the best expert support?

The best way is to do a who is look up on the age of the domain, like when it was registered, and then you can do a search for the company name along with keywords such as scam, side effects, problems, or anything that will uncover any negative reviews.

Another way is just to talk to the support staff to see what they say as a recommendation to use on your individual skin to get the best results.

You will need to see before and after photos to really get an idea of what to expect from each chemical, and again, each person needs advice specific to their individual needs, so you need a great support team.

Green tea
Half a tablespoon of lemon juice
Tablespoon of granulated sugar

Put a warm tee in the fridge to chill it. After which, you need to take it out and mix the same with sugar and lemon juice. After you've made the mixture, put it on your face using the same as either a face wash or perhaps leave the mixture sitting on the skin for fifteen minutes. Simple Homely Tips to Prevent Oily Skin

One of the best ways to keep oily skin under control is to develop a good skin-cleansing routine. Washing your face with a liquid cleanser (never use bar soap!), then following by a gentle toner and pH-balancing moisturizer is a great place to start. You may have to try a few products before you find one that works, but try to stick to very gentle cleansers; the ones for sensitive skin usually work best for oily skin types. Try to perform this routine once at the beginning of the day and once again before bed.

There are many over-the-counter products available for treating oily skin that you can try out, but in severe cases, you may find that the best solution is to seek a dermatologist and try a prescription medication. If you are looking for a natural approach to clear skin, products containing tea tree oil or witch hazel are excellent, as they are naturally antibacterial. A good mud or clay-based masque once a week can also work wonders for tightening up pores.

You may want to consider products that contain grape seed or jojoba, as they are known for forming a sort of "seal" over the skin to keep bacteria and dirt out. You may also try an exfoliating scrub with oatmeal or apricot to rid the dead skin and daily grime from your skin.

There are an abundance of oily skin products on the market today, but it is very important that you choose from them wisely. If you are uncertain what to buy, it is strongly recommended that you obtain some advice from your local doctor. There are plenty of options available to you for curing oily skin, it is really just a system of trial and error when it comes to finding the right product. Even with prescription medication, you may find that one works better than others, or some may have undesirable side effects.

Tips to Maintain a Glowing Face

Loose skin and wrinkles can be improved with a peel and a laser treatment, as each work differently on unique skin conditions. For the above problems, you would need a medium depth peel. The Blue Peel® is preferred for such treatments. Dr. Obagi invented the Blue Peel® over 12 years ago. The Blue Peel® was developed to make peels more scientific and to allow the physician to control the peel depth, making peels safer for patients. Blue Peels® can be done on all skin types and produce consistent results.

The Blue Peel® is done to tighten lax skin, smooth wrinkles and most scars, treat pigmentation problems, and correct sun damage. It is the best procedure to tighten skin without surgery and if repeated every three to four years, the peel can prevent the need for surgery as you age.

Acne scars respond to treatment with The Fraxel® laser. The laser delivers heat to the tissue and creates microscopic holes in the skin, removing old damaged skin and replacing it with new healthy skin. The depth of the treatment of the holes depend on which Fraxel® is used and the energy level used during the treatment. The density of the laser determines how close the holes are to one another and the number of holes per square inch.
The Erbium Fraxel® creates superficial holes, while the Co2 Fraxel® creates deeper holes and can provide some degree of tightening as well. The Co2 laser is excellent in correcting deep wrinkles and scars. Of course there is a downtime with each laser use and varies with each treatment.

Some tips to maintain a Glowing Face besides the treatments:

  • Eat a balanced diet
  • Incorporate vegetables, fruits, grains and protein to your diet
  • Vitamin C helps to keep skin glowing; eat citrus fruits
  • Vitamin E and B compounds aid in providing nutrition to skin
  • Restrain from foods and drinks high in sugar and caffeine
  • Avoid too much salt and sugar in a day; more salt gives a bloated appearance to your face
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Avoid burgers, fries and other fatty and oily foods
  • Exercise regularly to get that healthy glow
  • Bring down the stress levels to a minimum
  • Obagi Systems and products contain prescription-strength formulations. The systems are only available through physicians, primarily dermatologists, plastic surgeons, medical spas and other skin care and medical specialists.

Brown Spots Remedy

If you have unwanted brown spots, dark spots or dark patches spreading on your face or other places, and you want them to vanish completely, giving your skin lasting clarity and beauty, then you'll want to treat your brown spots with our Miracle Cure.

Epilators like Silk Epil from Braun remove hair from the root, and so they are similar to waxing, as waxing also removes hair from the root. However, you may get more in-growths if you use these machines, so you should scrub your body with a pumice stone while bathing to counter this problem. You need to give more details about the brown spot. Is it a freckle or is it a mole? How big is the spot? If it is a mole, you should visit a dermatologist.

Prevention is the easy part—apply sunscreen to your hands, arms, face, and scalp (if not covered with hair) every day, whether you plan to go outside or not. You see, sun damage comes in two forms: UVA and UVB. Ultraviolet A rays are known as "aging rays"; UVA sunlight makes up 90-95% of all sunlight that reaches the earth's surface. It penetrates windows of houses and cars; it gets through clouds; it's present 365 days a year. Even more troublesome is the fact that UVA exposure is "silent". You don't get a tan or sunburn from UVA exposure. UVB rays, also called "burning rays," cause tanning and burning of the skin, so you know when it's happening. Enough said? So from this day forward, you'll apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30?

A laser generates and intense beam of light. This beam brings energy to a specific site, through a small hand piece connected to the laser. The laser light is absorbed by oxyhemoglobin (bright red blood cells carrying oxygen) and melanin/pigment (black or brown pigment found in the skin) causing decomposition or destruction by heat of unwanted cells while leaving healthy cells intact.

Microdermabrasion is another way to remove brown spots. By gently abrading the skin with ultra-fine crystal particulates, microdermabrasion can reduce unwanted pigmentary changes and age spots. It can also benefit our acne patients.

The face, neck, chest and hands are the most popular areas to treat. A progressive series of 5-8 treatments are gently performed 2-4 weeks apart. Peels are often combined with microdermabrasion producing even better results.

Laser is the best way to remove moles. It is good that you have visited a doctor since moles can be the symptoms of other problems. Since that is not the case, simply get them removed through laser.

Sunscreen, protective clothing, and sunglasses help prevent further sun damage. Exposure time in the sun should be limited and seek shade when outdoors. Try to avoid outdoor activities between 10 am and 3 pm, when the ultraviolet rays are strongest. See a dermatologist yearly for a skin examination to check for any abnormal moles or skin cancer.

Properly wash your face using a Cleanser

How to properly wash your face using a cleanser:

cleanser wash

1) Wash your hands!Your hands contain a ton of oil, and when you touch your face to wash it, you don't want to be adding oils back onto your face.

2) Wet your whole face

3) Squeeze a dime sized amount of cleanser into palm, and rub your hands together
