Sexually Transmitted Diseases Details

When talking about possible treatments for Hepatitis, it should be understood that there are five strains of Hepatitis. Each of the strains are related by a different Hepatitis virus.

Hepatitis A is the result of a virus known as the HAV virus. The majority of incidents of Hepatitis A occur in third world nations, and are caused through poor personal hygiene due to bad sanitation, poverty, and overcrowding. This particular strain of Hepatitis is a mild condition, without symptoms, and usually the sufferer is not even aware that he/she has it. It normally cures itself within a four to eight week timeframe.

Hepatitis B is contracted as a result of coming into contact with another infected person's body fluids. This type of Hepatitis is much more serious, causing swelling of the liver, possible liver damage, and is also known to sometimes lead on to liver cancer developing. It is not always possible to cure which means that the condition can be both chronic and of a life long duration.

Hepatitis D is the strain that is caused by the virus HDV. It can be contracted by those that already suffer from Hepatitis B. Hepatitis E is caused by a water borne virus which means it very uncommon in developed countries.

Hepatitis C is normally contracted like Hepatitis B is; by coming into contact with the body fluids of an infected individual. Hepatitis C also has some of the same characteristics of Hepatitis B. Swelling of the liver, the possibility of liver damage and the development of liver cancer are some of the symptoms. Hepatitis C has more cases than any other strain in the developed world. In the United States alone there are at least 2.8 million sufferers, making it the most prolific of the blood born illnesses.

For many people that are infected with Hepatitis C if death is the outcome, won't perish within the first 10 years of the initial contraction. Even if death does not occur, sufferers have an increased risk of dying from liver related conditions. This risk is increased if the patient consumes excessive amounts of alcohol.

Cirrhosis of the liver can develop on average 30 years after initial contraction. In some cases Hepatitis C will develop into a serious liver condition, but not in all. Hepatitis C, and the serious misuse of alcohol are the two most prevalent causes of serious liver disease.

Luckily, Hepatitis C has a ten year "incubation" period before it leads to something worse, and this allows ample time for a natural remedy to be found and taken. The best natural remedy is a change of diet which will in time remedy the condition and strengthen the immune system. Such diets can be found on the internet, and/or through your family doctor. A rigorous detoxification program is also necessary to rid the body of the harmful toxins that have built up. Many people also find that a meditational regime, if adopted, can also help in restoring calm and helping them to focus on maintaining their diet and avoiding alcohol.
