Tips to Fix A Bad Hair Day

Why does it always seem that the days you wake up late are also the days that your hair decides not to behave, you can't find your favourite top, and there's no milk? We can't help you with the milk or the top, but we do have some great tips for fixing a bad hair day, so you can at least walk out of the door looking a million dollars.

Water
Firstly, water is your friend. If you wake up and your hair is just all over the place if you have time to wash it then you should, however sometimes that not possible so we recommend having a pump spritzer that you can lightly spray over your hair, particularly on those bit that are sticking up every which way. Once it's lightly damp you can comb out all the fluff and then either let it dry naturally or style it.

Hair Dryer
The second tool to help redeem a bad hair day is a hairdryer, applying heat your hair will assist it with restyling. You can do this after you have spritzed it or while it is still dry. Just a note to remember is that the heat will invigorate the oil glands on your scalp so ensure you only use short burst of heat to avoid the roots becoming limp. Additionally you can add product to your hair prior to the heat to help style it without using too much heat.

Tie It Up
The third trick for a bad hair day is to tie it up. Even if you aren't running late and you have washed and styled it the usual way, sometimes our hair just doesn't want to play ball and tying it up keeps it neat and out of the way even when your original intention was to rock the latest celeb look. Have a range of items you can use such as claw clip, or an elastic band to secure it, and then add a fabric flower, or a headband it finish off the look.

Getting your hair cut regularly will also help you avoid those bad hair days - your style will be easier to manage when it is freshly cut, your hairdresser can also assess any changes to your scalp that may need a different shampoo and conditioner, and they can also give you personalised hints and tips specifically suited to your hair style, type, and your skill level.
