#10 It's all in your head. Really. To get fit you need to have superman-like motivation. If you don't, you'll be the out-of-shape slug you don't want to be. Try the mirror test.
Pick parts of your body you see and think about them. Often, this can be the start of motivation to get you moving into an exercise program. When you run out of motivation, guess what? Go right back in front of the mirror again.
# 9 Try going nude. Some people actually workout in their birthday suit. They claim it gives them extreme motivation to see all the fat they need to obliterate. While it may not be a pleasant practice, it can provide even more motivation to keep committed to your plan to get fit.
# 8 Fake it. Just keep reading. This will make sense.
One of the best ways to start working out to get fit is becoming comfortable in your workout routine. So, for the first day or two fake it. Get into your workout area. Watch your get fit tape or go through the weight routines. But don't do the workout. Just get used to being there.
If you're new to this whole get fit thing, then you're going to need to feel good about spending time working out. Thus, getting use to your surroundings wil help in the process.
# 7 Think about 1 little minute if you're just starting out. Do 1 minute day 1. 2 on day 2. You get the point. The thinking is actually pretty cool. If it's been years since you broke a sweat, your body needs to acclimate to moving again. Try it. After 30 days you'll have yourself a 31 minute workout.
# 6 Find a friend to join your plan to get fit. Having a friend or family member loyal to getting thin can help you motivate yourself to investing in at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday.
# 5 Foreigners know the secret how to get fit. Did you know Europeans are 45% thinner than Americans? Their trick is vegetables. You know, the stuff you don't eat. They eat tons of them. If you want to cut your calories, try a salad for lunch with 3 ounces of chicken mixed in. But go easy on the dressing. 2 ounces is plenty.
# 4 Lay down and breath. Self-mediation and hypnosis can help guide you into thinking about a new, thinner you.
# 3 Sleep. Too little quality shut-eye can cause our bodies to produce to few hormones which control our appetite. Invest in at least 6-8 hours of shut-eye every night.
# 2 Dumb it down. Investing more than 30 minutes a day in any program can make you frustrated in the motivation department. Most people starting to get fit fail because they get overwhelmed too quickly. Think less about the frustration factor and more about doing the workout.
Go back and read #7 if you need help starting an exercise program without worrying about how to reach 30 minutes of sweating a day.
# 1 Pain is part of the process. If you can't survive the first 30 days, you'll most likely quit. But remember, it won't hurt forever.
