Stop smoking tips are like tips on spinning straw into gold; priceless if they make it easier to quit smoking. Smoking is one of the toughest addictions to beat, because the main addictive component in cigarette smoke, nicotine, is one of the most addictive substances on the planet.
In fact, it's so bad that Ex-Surgeon General Koop once said that if discovered today, nicotine would be classified as a class 'C' controlled substance by the DEA. That's pretty powerful stuff, but if you've been trying to quit smoking, you can understand why it would receive such a rating, can't you?
If you're trying to kick an evil smoking habit, here are some tips to do it that may help. I hope they do.

Get rid of all your cigarettes and ashtrays. Thoroughly clean out any ashtrays you can't get rid of, such as those in your car.

If you don't exercise now, start doing it. Vigorous exercise will help relieve some of the stress you're under from trying to quit. In addition, exercise will help your body recover from the ill health effects of smoking. Lastly, it gives you something else to form a habit around, but this will be something that will actually improve your health.

Don't frequent places where people smoke. This is getting easier, due to the increased number of smoke free zones in many areas. Some cities and states have even banned smoking in public places altogether. If you go out to clubs, try to avoid those that are smoking establishments, although this may be easier said than done.
Stop Smoking Tip 4
Drink 10 - 12 12oz glasses of water per day. Not only will this keep you well hydrated and flush your body of impurities, it will give you something new to fixate upon. Using a straw to drink makes this strategy even more effective, because a straw helps simulate a cigarette, so you have something to hold on to.
Stop Smoking Tip 5
Cut back on drinking alcohol. Many people smoke only when they drink or smoke much more when they're drinking. Avoiding alcohol will greatly assist you in quitting cigarettes.
Stop Smoking Tip 6
Chew gum to get your oral fixation. Just as many big leaguers have switched from chew to gum, you can switch from cigarettes to gum. It will help make it easier and is much healthier for your mouth, gums cardio / vascular system.
