Grate a potato and place on the affected eye for 15 minutes. This will help to reduce eye inflammation.
Add a few drops of honey to infected eye, because honey has antibacterial properties.
If itching persists, try cooled tea bags on the eyes. Tea is a good source of tannin which helps soothe itchiness and reduces inflammation.
